Intimate Live Music Experience in the Heart of Appalachia.
The Bus Stop Sessions started as a rogue ideal to have intimate live music experiences inside the historic Bus Stop Artisan Market & Workshop, a restored bus terminal in downtown Big Stone Gap, and quickly become a gathering place for artists, music lovers, and our community.
As the Bus Stop Artisan Market continues to expand its own business, and The Bus Stop Sessions continues to grow, we are excited to evolve the series into something even more connected to the history and character of Big Stone Gap.
While the name remains the same, The Bus Stop Sessions will now seasonally take the music to different historic, cultural, and meaningful locations creating unique listening experiences in places that have helped shape the story of Big Stone Gap.
Our next chapter begins at the historic John Fox Jr. House, where we look forward to bringing the same intimate atmosphere, great regional touring artists, and community that has defined The Bus Stop Sessions from the beginning. The series continues to be proudly sponsored by Freedom Chevrolet and is booked and curated by Stephen Murray and Brandon Maggard.
